Happy Monday, Romancers! I hope you were able to enjoy the beautiful weather on Saturday. We got out and spent some time at the park, and checked out some of the decorated porches in Capitol Hill for the Cherry Blossom Festival. We also paid a visit to Gypsy the Cow. All in all, it was a great weekend, and just what we needed after being cooped up inside for so long. Let’s get this week started with this gorgeous, sunrise engagement session, and the beautiful love story of Danielle and James!

James was going to the rock climbing gym with a buddy to climb a bit and have some fun. He walked in, and upon seeing Danielle, was stopped in his tracks (not exaggerating at all). He leaned over and told his buddy, “That might be the prettiest girl I have ever seen in my life”. But life wasn’t set for us yet…

Fast forward a little bit – James is graduating college, and Danielle is exploring the mountains of Colorado and (*spoiler alert) more was to come. James was going to an interview for a job at a very small tech startup. He walked through the doors and his stomach dropped. “Are you kidding me? How could it possibly be the same girl?” Well it sure was, and he knew it immediately.

Life kept going. James kept doing what he does, just moseying, as he says, and Danielle continued to be the beautiful girl at the office who was just out of reach. They worked together every single day, as their lives moved in different directions…or at least they thought. Soon enough, James saw a tiny sliver of time where just maybe he had a chance to make something out of this, or at least get a solid answer to know. He had to make a move or he would regret it for the rest of his life.

They travelled together, and sure enough, the move was made. Hints were dropped, picked up to be replaced with more hints, until I couldn’t handle it. “Danielle, you need to tell me what the hell is going on right now!” What? Yup. But how? I dunno. How could this be real life and happening?

They can’t believe this incredible love was formed. No doubt about it, this is the most beautiful blessing they could ever ask for. James knew right away Danielle was the one for him. He started planning their proposal and knew only one day would do. He enlisted Danielle’s sisters to meet him to help pick out the most perfect ring for their sister. He knew that they grew up in a family that cherished the holidays, so James’s family and Danielle attended Christmas Eve mass at a church in Washington, DC. He took Danielle to his most favorite part of the church, and in front of his entire family, asked her to be his wife. Danielle was so happy, she could not stop smiling the entire rest of the night.
