Capitol Romancers, welcome back another unforgettable wedding in the heart of the District. Today we’re diving into the magical union of two puppy-parents at the stunning new DC Water Headquarters. This venue is a unique addition to the DC wedding venue list, a waterfront location in bustling Navy Yard. Our team was so jazzed to be brought into this special day at a newer DC wedding venue, and it did not disappoint!

Picture this: a rooftop ceremony overlooking sky and river. A modern and spacious indoor reception bathed in natural light. And a couple so effortlessly cool, you can’t help but smile. Yes, my friends, this was the kind of day that wedding dreams are made of.

The day began with excitement buzzing as Eve and Daniel prepared to say “I do.” Eve stunned in a short, tailored wedding dress topped with a teal fascinator and teal glitter boots that perfectly showcased her vibrant personality. But the real showstopper? Their adorable furry friend, who stole the spotlight during their pre-ceremony photos along the Anacostia river. Yes, folks, this wedding had it all, including a four-legged guest of honor with color-coordinated leash!

Panoramic waterfront views greeted the couple’s closest family and friends as they gathered for the rooftop ceremony. The ebb and flow of the river below provided a soundtrack as the couple exchanged vows under a chuppah. Eve and Daniel also incorporated a Jewish ketubah signing ceremony, during which the couple and their chosen witnesses affirmed their commitment in a beautiful and heartfelt ceremony steeped in tradition.

Following the ceremony, guests were invited to a modern indoor reception space. The spacious, soaring room is adorned with floor-to-ceiling windows, allowing the natural light to flood the room. The room truly flowed in an organic and energetic way, from the circular tables and displays in-the-round to the marbling on their custom three-tier cake.

But perhaps the pièce de résistance of the evening was the stunning ice sculpture of their beloved dog, crafted with meticulous detail. It was a touching tribute to their furry friend, who has played such a significant role in their lives and their journey together.

Eve and Daniel’s wedding was a true reflection of their love, their personalities, and their unique bond. To all the awesome couples out there, remember, your wedding day is a celebration of everything that makes you unique. So let your love shine bright and never be afraid to make a splash!
