This weekend got the best of me. I am still fighting a cold and the snow delayed our trip to NJ from Friday PM to Saturday morning, for a friend’s bridal shower. The shower WAS fantastic though, and I always enjoy an excuse to get to see my parents, grandma, and sisters. The weekend went insanely too fast though, and though it felt like we JUST got to NJ, it was already time to drive back to DC … and run my 7.5 miles for my half-marathon training. Needless to say, my butt is KICKED and my eyes are barely open as I blog this engagement feature.

Lexie & Stuart’s Northern Virginia engagement session has more than enough love, smiles and beauty to keep me awake though. They found a beautiful part of Oldtown, Leesburg to take their engagement pictures and everything was captured beautifully by Kelly Ewell Photography [submitted via Two Bright Lights].

Lexie & Stuart’s Old Town Leesburg, VA Engagement Session

About the couple:

They say the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach, but for Lexie and Stuart it may work in reverse! Stuart is a chef at Willow Creek Farm, which is one of the better restaurants in the area, so Lexie gets to enjoy his creations. Because she works days and he so often works nights, finding a time to meet up for their engagement portraits was a struggle. We got lucky to find a beautiful fall day and walked around historic downtown Leesburg, VA. They picked it because they liked how around each corner there are new things to explore like brightly colored walls to open green areas with cute brick walkways all within just a few blocks. It’s such a nice variety to get without having to walk for miles.

i love these next two shots of them along the streets … adorable!

Congratulations Lexie & Stuart! A special thanks again to Kelly Ewell Photography & Two Bright Lights for making this Northern Virginia engagement feature possible!
