A cute fall wedding from Rich Kessler Photography today!

Amanda & Mike happened to both have father’s that coach the Manassas Militia baseball team [and Amanda’s brother plays on the team!]. So naturally, things started with an baseball themed engagement shoot:

From there Mike & Amanda planned a beautiful fall wedding on Lake Anna, which just happens to be ~100 yards from Amanda’s parent’s house! The reception followed in her parent’s backyard. Thanks to Rich Kessler Photography for sharing!

About Amanda & Mike:

About the bride

Amanda works in the pediatric field as a registered nurse. She loves to spend time with her family, go to lake in the summer time, shop, and watch her brothers play baseball.

About the groom

Mike graduated from George Mason University with a degree in criminal justice. He was recently recruited by the Prince William County Police and is already in the academy! Mike loves to do anything outdoors, especially hunt and coach youth baseball.

How we met

Amanda and Mike met through a mutual friend. The first time they saw eachother was Valentine’s Day of 2006. They have been inseparable ever since!

The Proposal:

Mike proposed to Amanda on Christmas morning of 2010. He planned a scavenger hunt, and hid clues all over the house. The rhyming clues led her to the star of their first Christmas tree, which had the final, rolled up clue. That last “clue” popped the big question and Mike then pulled out the most beautiful diamond ring!
