I hope everyone’s having a great week! In a pleasant turn of events, I was able to get vaccinated on Monday, and I may have shed a tear or two on my way to the hospital to get it. For so long, it felt like we’d never get to this place. With the weather consistently warmer, Charlie & I have been venturing to the park, almost daily. It’s been nice to get fresh air, and see him interact with other kids after seeing so few people for the last year. I’m also excited to visit Burnside Farms tomorrow to take in all the tulips! Spring has sprung, and I am here for it.

I was inspired by my love for the Renaissance Faire. Every year, my boyfriend and I attend, and I get a new mask from him. I would love to have a masquerade wedding one day, so I thought this would be the perfect way to start working out some details.

I choose the details based on a Mardi Gras color scheme, and spent hours searching for the perfect details. The invitation was a huge inspiration, and we used the satin texture throughout. We alternated satin purple and green table linens with a corded sparkle gold overlay. For the centerpieces, I wanted something that brought in the colors but also included feathers and crystals.
