I hope everyone had a relaxing weekend and enjoyed the snow. Maybe its my New England upbringing, but I am a bit disappointed in the lack of snow we got. At the same time, I would be perfectly happy with winter to be over and the warm spring weather to come.

I’m loving the homey, cozy vibes from today’s styled engagement shoot. Especially these days, where we’re [still] social distancing, an in-home session just warms my heart.

The idea of this shoot was to display that even during these times you can still celebrate your love. We created an intimate space for a picnic with a small graze board. The Bohemian chair was passed down from the venue owner’s mother, and we added a few vintage books since our bride-to-be loves to read. The florals selected were a mixture of Magnolia leaves, alstroemeria (also known as Peruvian lily or lily of the Incas), baby blue eucalyptus, cotton stems , dried pretea, wheat, and artichokes

We then went to Ravine Gardens and it ended up raining which was perfect because we also wanted to show couples that a little rain can be magical, rather than put a damper on your day. The sunset was beautiful and the couple ended the night very happy.

We accomplished an organic environment to demonstrate the core reason of the celebration – their love.
