I feel like we all let out a huge sigh of relief on Saturday. Outside our door, cars were honking, and people were cheering, seemingly out of the blue. We hadn’t turned the tv on yet, but shortly after hearing all the commotion, texts started rolling in with the good news. While there is still much work to be done (like that run off race in GA), we can rest a little easier now.
I hope you were able to enjoy the gorgeous weather we had over the weekend! We got out for a mini holiday photo session, which included a lot of playing in the leaves and donuts! Really, every weekend should include donuts. To kick off the week, we have this colorful engagement session for you. I love these locations that Kim and Patrick chose, and they are just beaming with love!
One summer night in 2015, I took my recycling to the curb and found Patrick standing in my front yard. He was helping a friend move into the townhouse next door, and holding a giant cardboard box. I thought he was cute. Turns out, Patrick thought I was cute too because, a couple days later, the friend, playing matchmaker, made plans for the three of us to meet for drinks. It would have been great if I had wanted to have drinks with both of them, but I didn’t. I only wanted to hang out with Patrick. So, on the day of the meeting, I taped a note to the friend’s door saying, “I can’t make it to happy hour but please give Patrick my phone number.” Patrick called. We’ve been together ever since.
The morning after he’d been away on a business trip, he asked me to marry him. The ring had been shipped and it was burning a hole in his pocket. I don’t even remember what he said but I said, “Yes!”
