With everyone consumed by COVID19, we’re over here just trying to maintain a sense of normalcy. We made it to story time at the local library this morning, and attendance was maybe half of what it normally is. So while our little guy didn’t get as much social time as I’d hoped, at least we made it out of the house, sang some songs, and listened to some stories. If you need some distraction from all the coronavirus talk, we’ve got his fun Baltimore wedding for you today. Restaurants are some of my favorite venues, and this one looks to be amazing!

From the photographer: While living in Baltimore now, Courtney and Dustin met at a bar at University of Delaware, and both grew up in very different places (NJ and Kentucky), so the start of their married life together was a way to highlight what they love about Baltimore. The design, decor and food/drink options at the tavern were a perfect fit!

Their ceremony was held in the Pimlico Room, cocktail hour at the Sky Bar patio with cigars, and a ‘strolling reception’ with dinner stations located throughout the entire upper level of this modern tavern. As guests entered the ceremony space, they were treated to champagne and beer with custom koozies to use and enjoy during the ceremony – what a fun and thoughtful detail! The ceremony decor was simple but lush; the fireplace mantle was overflowing with candles, roses, hydrangeas and greenery.

With Courtney wearing a gown that was made for twirling, and Dustin in a navy suit with a floral tie, these two were an absolutely stunning couple! Their joy as soon as they saw each other at the first look was one of my favorite moments; Courtney gave Dustin the biggest hug and they took some time to soak it all in before we walked to the promenade for some waterfront portraits. Her bridesmaids dresses were a beautiful pairing of mismatched light pink, ivory and blush against the greenery filled, soft pink bouquets with accents of anemones.

Mt Washington Tavern’s architecture and design is full of clean lines, bright walls inside and a deep gray exterior that made for the most romantic shots during their golden hour portraits!
