Happy New Year Romancers! I cannot believe another new year is upon us. While I cannot say I will miss 2017, there were still some highs to an otherwise challenging year. I am looking forward to the fresh start that comes with a new year, new goals, new weddings, new challenges, and new memories. We kicked off the New Year in Vermont with my family, and made our way back to DC yesterday (after 9+ grueling hours in the car). I’llblog soon about some updates on life & business in 2018 (goals & some shifting focus), but for today I’ve got a SUPER awesome DC wedding to share.

Modern meets industrial, with bold colors & SO MUCH LOVE. I can’t think of a better way to start of 2018 (my 7th year of blogging!!!!). Let’s get to it.

We met in high school (but we were not close lol) We reconnected over Instagram after college, through a mutual love of Justin Timberlake. I have been the BIGGEST JT fan since I was a young girl. Justin had just come out with his 20/20 album and I was posting how excited I was about the album and Kevin made a few comments, which lead me to wanting to get to know him better and eventually a number exchange.

Kevin proposed at the WWI memorial a few days after our 2 year anniversary. The WWI Memorial was special to us because that is where we had our 2nd date and first kiss. The day of the proposal Kevin brought me down the the memorial and had all our closest friends and family there as he ask me to be his wife.

I always say that is was Justin Timberlake who brought us together.

Kevin is very smart and got his degree in pure mathematics, graduate degree in cyber security, and endless certificates in computer or math related subjects, I on the other hand have an undergrad degree in communications. So I always joke and say I am the Pinky to his Brain (like the old cartoon) lol.
