Happy Monday, Romancers! I hope you all had a great weekend! We got together with some friends for an epic beer share of rare beers. It was great to see friends, Charlie got to run around outside, and we drank some great beer! We kept Charlie out a bit later than normal, and thankfully it paid off, because he woke up at a normal hour yesterday. And yesterday we got to catch up with an old friend that was passing through DC for an impromptu coffee/breakfast date, and mostly just relaxed. I’m not ready to get back to the grind of the week because that means I’m trying to nail down a moving company, and also pare down our things. We’re kicking things off this week with some bright, but moody florals in this over the top shoot!

The “Over the Top!” styled shoot was inspired by the absent 2020 wedding season due to COVID. For the first time, the LIVE! Casino and Hotel allowed a styled shoot, and we were given three spaces to work in. From there, we created a story. The Penthouse Suite was the couple’s “honeymoom” and after event, which showcased just them with beautiful views and details surrounding their day. We also utilized the suite level, which was a more glam, but casual effect, with a long table adorned with high, colorful centerpieces, custom elements, menu cards, a touch of florals on the bar, and a black top table. The Grand Ballroom was a favorite spot, as we had space to build two gorgeous arches that were adorned in bright florals of purples and pinks, and some greenery highlighted by uplighting, candles, gold chargers, utensils, and colorful menu cards to compliment the look.

We love to play with colors, and we love for rooms to stand out and give whomever walks in the wow factor – That’s why we named this the “Over the Top!” styled shoot.
