Happy Monday, Romancers! I hope you all got out and enjoyed the beautiful weather on Saturday. We made it to the park, and ran into Bree’s kids and husband, which was a fun surprise! As of today, I’m officially fully vaccinated, which feels great, but the CDC’s new mask guidelines has me feeling uneasy since Charlie isn’t even eligible for a vaccine yet. We’re hoping to get away for Memorial Day weekend, down to NC to visit my in-laws, and get to the beach. Let’s just hope gas stations are full of gas by then!

In the meantime, we’ve got a gorgeous styled shoot that ended with a surprise proposal to get your week started!

The styled shoot coincided with my rebranding and website launch for Kara Morgan Weddings & Events. The neutral colors represent the colors and feel of our brand, and we wanted it to feel simple, elegant and timeless. Our slogan is, “Extraordinary events one detail at a time”, so we worked to make sure we had everything down to the detail. From the gold accents, to the stylization, everything had details that all worked together to form this vision.

The day before the shoot, the “groom” messaged the photographer and I and asked if it would be okay if he actually proposed during the shoot. He had the ring and thought this might be the perfect time, knowing there was going to be photos, video, and his “bride” all dolled up. Immediately we said, “YES!” We decided that we needed to end the shoot with something a little more fun so that he would have the perfect romantic moment to propose. We decided to end with a rose petal drop. We did the rose petal drop multiple times to make it seem like we were trying to get the perfect shot. After all of the petals dropped to the floor, the “groom” got down on one knee and proposed, ending the night in the most perfect way. We ended with a champagne toast to celebrate the newly engaged couple. I mean who gets proposed to in a wedding gown after all!
