Hope you all enjoyed the long weekend, and Valentine’s Day! It was quite the weekend of celebrations, as we also celebrated Chinese New Year. Cookie making was a success, and we did a good bit of relaxing and staying warm inside. Let’s get this short week going with this cozy, lux winter wedding styled shoot!

We had been preparing and dreaming of creating a lux winter inspired shoot and when Ashley from Vignon Manor Farm in Havre de Grace reached out to ask if we would be interested in doing a winter shoot we responded with a resounding YES! How amazing that what we had been planning lined up with what she was searching for!

We chose a muted color palette of gold, champagne, and soft white with pops of the palest blush. The use of different evergreen textures gave the florals an unmistakably winter feel. Cappuccino colored roses in the bridal bouquet and elevated centerpieces on gold Brentmore stands were the stand out bloom. The head table was another highlight of the shoot. The Vignon Farm tables, with their beautiful grain, added such warmth to the design. A mixture of geometric, metal elements such as orbs, candle stands and terrariums brought the lux feel! Vintage-inspired vases housed birch and curly willow to add another layer of texture. Classic gold rimmed, white place settings rested on gold chargers and flanked by champagne flatware. The design was topped off with 15 yards of ivory chiffon to make this winter table setting feel like it was floating on a snow covered ground.

Although luxurious, we wanted to wrap this shoot in warmth and coziness. We carefully chose elements such as cable knit throws to highlight the bride and groom’s chairs at the head table, hooded fur capes for the flower girls, and a hot cocoa bar to warm up! The desserts were not only visually stunning, but so yummy! They were all laid out to perfection on a vintage, shabby chic buffet. All these small details elevated this shoot to another level!

We wanted a very intimate feel for the ceremony and reception. Although surrounded by all their loved ones, we sought to make sure the bride and groom had moments that they felt like the only two people on the planet. Indoor fireworks and a walking on the clouds experience made the couple’s first dance an absolute dream! Imagine being surrounded by the clouds as you and your love dance to your song! It was magical!
