Another week flying by and the day job has been INSANELY busy this week. We’ve been working from Vermont at my parents (the Fall foliage is GORGEOUS) but haven’t been able to enjoy it much. Hoping to change that tomorrow with a trip to a pumpkin patch or something! Hope you all are hanging in OK. It’s been another roller coaster week with some highs and some lows. Hoping I can actually take some time off next week and relax ….

Happy Friday all.

We wanted to put a twist on your typical lavender and sage wedding. We started by placing the arch in an unlikely area, in the grass along the side of the homestead, where picturesque views of oak trees and Spanish moss were the backdrop, along with views of the river from afar.

The team created details with three things in mind, purple tones, a touch of edge, and out-of-the-box thinking. Since this was an Elopement-Style setting, we wanted to keep the seating simple, while expanding greatly on the details. The rose quartz velvet linen and plum accents created a layered look to the table design.

Throughout planning, eventually our vision transformed and expanded into a dual theme. One being a light and airy lavender feel, and the other with contrasts of purple with a much warmer feel. The calligraphy on the amethyst agate place cards provided the perfect touch of edge to the reception table, while correlating perfectly on the moody sweetheart table.

The cake flawlessly connected both themes, and included handcrafted edible flowers. We even performed a lavender toss for our lovely real-life couple, in this intimate ceremony setup complete with acrylic Chiavari chairs, which brought interesting dimension to this unique vision.
