Winter weddings are seriously my favorite (I mean, I love all my couples & weddings equally … but fireplaces! brides with sweaters! cold weather!). I am still digging out a bit from a long weekend in Pittsburgh, visiting our best friends before their second kiddo comes in a month. We ate WAY too much food, had WAY too many laughs, and got SOME sleep. Evie then went off to her cousin’s in Philly, so Andy and I are remembering life with just one kid and OMG I HAVE SO MUCH TIME ON MY HANDS.

Just kidding, though it is a bit quieter :) For today (because of course this was supposed to be published yesterday), we have a gorgeous CapRo couple, sharing their beautiful winter wedding at one of the best venue’s in town: Carnegie Science Center.

From the photographer: Shannon & Ben held hands in the center of a marble-laden rotunda surrounded by 360 degrees of friends & family. Shannon’s entrance to this scene was equally as grand as she descended the iron staircase with cascading ivy down the sides & a pool of ivory candles at the bottom.

These two filled the elegant halls of Carnegie Institution of Science with endless candles, greenery, brass accents, and an enormous amount of joy. Shannon’s bubbliness & Ben’s wit are quite the wonderful combination.

One of my absolute favorite moments was during their first look in front of the Capital where Shannon wrapped Fuzzy & Wuzzy, her friendly porcupine mittens, around Ben’s eyes as they laughed. And Ben’s response of, “I knew I should have thrown those away two weeks ago!”
