Happy Friday Romancers. A week of blogging – I think this is a record for me ;-p The cold has returned (I don’t hate it, though I feel bad for the blooming trees & flowers) and we’ve got a day of venue walk throughs to conquer. So we’ve got some gorgeousness for you all to view to help get you to the weekend. Let’s get to it!

From the photographer: This style shoot was all about grace, glamour, & a little rustic chic vibe. Out biggest goal with this shoot was to capture an elegant & romantic feeling on a gloomy day. From the flowing dress, to the gorgeous flowers and just enough sparkle, I feel that we accomplished this goal.

From the planner: For our shoot, we really wanted to showcase what Virginia had to offer – southern charm. We envisioned an enchanting yet casually sophisticated and chic fete with a hint of glam. With this vision in mind, we set out to find a beautiful rustic setting for the shoot and decided on a new modern barn in Leesburg. It was a perfect venue for our enchanting farmhouse chic wedding inspiration shoot. As big fans of color, serenity and rose quartz, combined with orchid, green and gold accents, to create a colorful wedding color palette with a touch of sparkle.

The details perfectly accentuated the theme from the laser cut invitations and heart shaped cookies, to the beautiful cake and lush florals. The pergola was adorned with chiffon drapery, colorful lush florals, and cascading vines. We also added drapery the poles inside the venue and had ivy vines cascade down the poles to create an indoor garden feel. The florals, vines, and ceremony décor really brought the theme to life.

Our vision for the reception was details, details, details! We chose to go with a farm table and chiffon runner for the table, with gold rimmed plated nestled on a beautiful glass charger plates. Fresh dendrobium blooms were placed on each placesetting and added a pop of color to a rather soft placesetting. The placesetting was also accented by adding a simple menu card, gold flatware, gold rimmed wine glassware, ivory napkins with glam napkin rings. Running down the middle the table we had lush florals, a gold hexagon terrarium, and candle holders of different heights, shapes, and colors, giving the tablescape a great ambiance, balance, and lots of visual interest.
