Ohhhh man this vintage travel inspired Virginia wedding from An Endless Pursuit is a good one. The bride’s vintage hair & makeup, birdcage veil, DIY map paper roses, lavender boutonnieres … and SO MUCH MORE!

The only thing that could possibly make this feature better? Is the fact that I have the amazing wedding video from Friends With Cameras that I get to share too. It’s no secret that I am such a fangirl when it comes to Jason’s wedding videos, and I just feel like ti SO perfectly compliments An Endless Pursuit‘s stunning images.

Karol & Nathan poured their heart and love of traveling into this wedding and set at the Woodend Sanctuary in the Fall? I mean, it just doesn’t get much better.

About the couple and their vintage travel theme:

Nathan and Karol chose a vintage, travel-inspired wedding as much of their relationship was built on traveling with a long distance relationship. They both loved the fall and had begun their relationship in the crisp air and falling leaves of an Auburn autumn so an October wedding was a no-brainer. From the s’mores kits, programs and signs, and lavender toss to the handmade bouquets made of maps, every tiny detail had a personal meaning.

From the Bride:

When we thought “vintage travel theme” we both agreed on details like our cake sitting on a suitcase, the card display framed by a map, and stationary that had travel elements subtly placed throughout.

The lavender came from a trip Nathan and I took to a lavender field in the Virginia countryside – I just had to incorporate it into the wedding somehow.

I wanted the reception to be fun, intimate, and romantic so I used DIY lace votives and Manzanita branches with hanging candles to accomplish that.

Our stationary designer had surprised us by sending a poster version of our love story (which we had previously used for our invitations) and we framed and displayed this at the venue.

We were so blessed to have all our family and friends travel to be with us on our wedding day and just wanted everyone to be comfortable and have a good time.

  1. Stephanie, the bride did almost everything! She worked with a husband & wife Etsy team, Sparkvites, to do some of the stationary and make a poster of their story. However, almost every other detail she did herself!
