As per usual poor Kara prepped this post days ago and here I am just FINALLY managing to find time to write three opening sentences. I am THE WORST. Work is still busy, we ended up escaping up to Vermont for a mini-Fall break … and yeah, IDK my brain is just SO burnt out, but IDK how to make it stop. Oh and it’s final consult time for our Fall weddings so …. I know these next few months are just going to FLY.

Here we go!

The inspiration really came from wanting to put together an elegant, modern wedding. We chose our colors first, a light blue and gold were our main two, and then greenery. We then located vendors who we were interested in working with, and showed them our mood boards and ideas. Our rental vendor played a huge part in giving us ideas, and her willingness to provide extra items to bring the vision to the next level. The venue is a historic building on the square in Liberty, Missouri. The beautiful features of the building, especially in the ballroom loft, contrasted well with our modern wedding elements.

The styled shoot was also about community over competition with all of the photographers being so supportive of one another. Chris and Chelsea, our wonderful models, have been together for over ten years and married for the past few. Working with them, and with all of the items provided by the vendors made for a perfect Sunday spring afternoon.
