Greetings from the Green Mountain State. We’ve survived one week of working from my parents house, with A LOT of kids, adults, and distractions abound. And then Andy worked 12-hour days all weekend … but we are finally OFF (like really … OFF) for the rest of this week and the sun finally came out after being away the past few days. Its a delightful 73, low humidity, partly cloudy here right now … perfection. Onward to kayaking, boating, swimming, and other Vermont activities. Now if only my kids would start sleeping in more …

This collection of colors, textures, and florals creates the dream fusion of a modern, yet vintage wedding. There is something so pleasing about the bold punch of this color palette – the dramatic black details created a clean and contemporary look. The florals make sure that this dramatic aesthetic doesn’t get by without a touch of romance. Even the cake and signature drinks were showered with flowers, adding total sunshine vibes to the table arrangements.

Utilizing contrasting elements was something I loved about this shoot, and what makes it stand out! This design work played with the idea of linear and circular, bold and delicate, rustic and chic, and modern yet vintage.
