Happy Friday! I’m glad to see the sun is back out today, and the crisp fall temps are back. While Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays, I’ve been debating whether or not to start decorating for Christmas. Since we won’t be traveling this year, we’ll get to have a real tree for the first time in a while, which I’m excited about, but I don’t know if I’m quite in the Christmas spirit yet. I think it’s still sinking in that we won’t be seeing my family. So in the meantime, I think I’m going to soak up all the Fall, Thanksgiving vibes. To help set the mood, we have this gorgeous, blush & burgundy styled shoot, pulling inspiration from the figs. Have a great weekend!

This styled shoot was put together in less than 24 hours. The amazing cake designer had the cake made for another styled shoot, which got canceled due to bad weather. Therefore, we chose a venue that needs more visibility, and a real couple that just got engaged. It was fun, the couple laughed a lot, and enjoy the vendors’ team so much that decided to hire them for their wedding!

It was initially supposed to be a gloomy day, so we wanted colors that brought life, but also reminded us of the beautiful dark colors of Virginia in fall. The red door barn of the venue inspired us to keep the country vibe, but still stylish. In the farmhouse, we used antlers as an addition to the elegant dahlias of the bouquet. The cake was decorated with burgundy and white flowers, which were enhanced by the touch of gold. The blue suit of the groom recalled the touches of deep blue and purple of the figs that were used to remember the beautiful sky during fall.
