It’s Friday, and almost the end of August, and I feel like we’re in a time warp. I don’t have to tell you how weird this year has been – it just feels odd. I go through ebbs and flows of being ok, and feeling down, and I’m doing my best to appreciate the bright spots, however little, in each day.

With fall just around the corner, these boho vibes have me longing for the crisp air and changing leaves. I’ve been really into these neutrals and natural textures lately, so I was really excited to see this styled shoot hit our Inbox. Happy weekend, everyone!

From the planner: In recent years, weddings have supersized, with the rest of the US, growing in size and budget. COVID-19 shook the event industry to its core, and redefined weddings entirely. Weddings have drastically changed in style and size in just the last few months. Couples can now focus more on the marriage (ceremony) versus the reception (celebration), proving that love endures all. Couples will still get married – just as our ancestors married in times of war, economic despair, civil war, slavery, and many other adversities the human race has been confronted with.

Bohemian Love is a styled shoot to showcase a bohemian minimony – the new norm in weddings! The term “minimony,” a hybrid of “mini ceremony”, was first introduced by The Knot in the Fall of 2019. This minimony, or micro wedding, is set on a small terrace. The small area was transformed the ceremony under a pergola decorated with bohemian plants, rugs, and planters. The earthy color palette in browns, greens and pinks gives it an organic bohemian feel.

The reception area is designed around a relaxed cocktail hour concept. Guests can enjoy heavy hors d’oeuvres from a beautiful and delicious charcuterie board with jamon serrano, brie, cheeses, meat, fruits, and nuts. Guests can enjoy food and drinks while sitting on rustic stools at a cocktail table, or relax on one of our lounge areas. For dessert, guests can enjoy a slice of a light and airy naked cake, or a bohemian theme light sugar cookie with a hint of lemon.
