Friday Inspiration posts are quickly becoming one of my favorite things to share. I think it’s because it allows me to accept some non-DC area features that get submitted to me on Two Bright Lights. It would always pain me to turn down an awesome wedding or feature, just because it wasn’t in the proper region. But now with my Friday Wedding Inspiration posts – I can share the awesomeness, no matter where it’s located, AND in turn, continue to inspire the DC, MD, & Northern VA area with offbeat, DIY & non-traditional weddings :)

This Pennsylvania wedding is a must see – the whole thing took place in a backyard [love me some backyard weddings], amidst gardens that the bride’s grandparents had planted years ago and the details were to die for! It included a DIY altar, vintage church windows, an ice cream truck, and a game of kickball … all at the reception! A kickball game at a wedding reception? Love.

These beautiful images were shared courtesy of Gypsy Tree Photography & were submitted via Two Bright Lights. Enjoy!

From the photog:

The ceremony was held in the gardens surrounded by rhododendron bushes. The alter was built by the couple and was rustic and gorgeous, made out of trees and vintage church windows. A reception directly followed the ceremony, being held in a different part of the gardens.

The reception had many amazing highlights including a visit from an ice cream truck and a game of kickball. The vintage/rustic theme rang true through every aspect of their wedding; from the vintage floor model radio that played music before the ceremony to the reception tables covered in quilts as tablecloths.

It was a perfectly planned out, right down to every little detail.
