From the vendors:

Hair and Makeup is an important aspect to creating great photos – it’s all part of the experience for a bride on her wedding day and should not be a detail that is overlooked. I wanted to give inspiration to brides who wanted to a have a bit of fun with their styling, yet still look like their gorgeous self. I teamed up with one of my glam squads, Amie and Kelley of Amie Decker Beauty to create a fun, vibrant look for my bride-model, Sammy.

^Clearly I love everything about this – I wish more brides would put some fun and spunk into their wedding makeup and hair (especially if that is sort of woman you are in your everyday life!).

I told Amie that I wanted to play with color in makeup – something you would see in fashion editorials that could be easily translated into a real wedding.

My direction for hair was simple: I wanted it down and to show movement and Kelley did a great job at giving Sammy gorgeous volume and moveable locks! In prep for the shoot, Amie mentioned that many brides were requesting hair and makeup changes during the reception. We used a white lace dress for the second dress, adding in some lip gloss, and a fishtail braid to Sammy’s hair for a fun, cocktail look!

I am IN LOVE with this shot:

COUPLE: Sammy + Pat were married this year – I photographed their wedding in January and when I was looking for a fun, hip couple for this shoot, these guys were my first pick! They live in Crofton with their 3-year old son, Ryker and are both dance teachers and choreographers in the area.

LOCATION: I’ve been shooting a lot at the Graffiti Warehouse in Baltimore, MD – which is a haven for photographers and street artists. I’ve been wanting to take a bride + groom on a rooftop and the Graffiti Warehouse has got an incredible roof access. I love the view of Baltimore and great natural lighting that the studios inside the Graffiti Warehouse offers.

And now for that stunning fishtail braid!

AND that jaw-dropping short, white lace dress:
