Things are about to get GIRLY this Friday here on Washington, DC’s favorite creative wedding blog [Capitol Romance of course!]. I have been pleased to find a certain number of styled shoots finding their way into my Two Bright Lights inbox [keep them coming people!] and have loved sharing them on Friday’s for more of an inspiration-laden feature.

So far we’ve had a gorgeous Bohemian Styled Wedding Shoot, a fairy tale inspired wedding details shoot, and most recently, our Valentines & Hearts inspired wedding shoot! And now for today, we are going to share a beautiful “pink & pearls” bridal styled shoot from Richmond, Virginia wedding photographer, Lucia Belle Photography!

More from the photographer/designer of the shoot:

This Stylized Bridal Session was held in the John Marshall Ballroom at the John Marshall Hotel in Richmond, Virginia. This hotel is a Richmond Historic Landmark opening in 1929 and with it’s cathedral doorways and grand ballrooms, it was the perfect setting for this vintage bridal session. The theme was Vintage, Feminine, and a little bit of Sultry. Pink was added for a subtle touch of color and was accented in the heels, jewelry box, miniature cakes, vintage jewelry pieces and purse.

love this non-diamond engagement ring ~ a pearl!

More on the shoot & beautiful DIY and vintage details:

Two gowns were used. The first clean cut, minimalistic gown is Casablanca Bridal and the second lace gown is pure vintage from the late 1920’s and found at a local antique store in Carytown Ricmond.

An underlying theme of the session was also Affordable. The heels and pink ruffled purse were from DSW while the jewelry was JCPenney.

Both cakes were homemade (by my mom!) and decorated for a punch or color with vintage jewelry embellishments adorned.

in love with this pink ruffled purse – OMG can you imagine this instead of bouquets?! like i am just dizzy at the thought of how gorgeous that would look!

I think the overall message I wanted to convey was that bridal sessions are exciting and are the bride’s moment in the spotlight – leaving behind the wedding day or planning process stress and being the full center of attention.

Make the most of it – get crazy, get seductive, know your beauty and above all have lots of fun.

While Jenna is a model in this case, she was perfect person to demonstrate the joy behind a bride leading up to her wedding day, dreaming of her husband to be, relishing in the moment and the attention and just the expressiveness that comes with that excitement!
