Friday and almost the “day of love” [or I guess we could say Valentine’s Day] … so I thought this Fairy Tale Inspired Styled Shoot from C&A Events & Melissa Arlena Photography would be the perfect post.

It’s chock-full of purples, pinks, and reds and just the slightest hint of blue. There are flowers and ribbon galore – and it really is a magical display of just how far you could go with your wedding if you wanted. Certainly inspiring, and certainly something pretty to see on this Friday afternoon. Thanks to Two Bright Lights for making this submission possible!

The designers share:

With pirates, vampires and real-life Cinderella stories [The Royal Wedding] being common themes in our current pop culture, brides want to shine on their wedding day as the star of their very own theatrical fairy tale. Inspired by this, C&A Events and Anthomanic came up with the theme of Royal-Gothic-Pirate-Feast. This dramatic, jewel-tone rich tablescape really set the mood for an intimate & romantic gathering. The very regal, soft and rich palette of textures and colors juxtaposed by the reclaimed wood of the cabin porch at the beautiful wedding venue, Stevenson Ridge, has a unique feel taking guests back in time.

Flowers were designed by Anthomanic — chosen for this rich look included red hanging amaranthus, black baccara roses, blue hydrangea, purple stock and carnations [they’re making a comeback!]. Royal-inspired menu cards by Paper Freckles inform guests of their upcoming feast. C&A Event Planning coordinated linen rentals from Classic Party Rentals of Virginia, which included rich textural fabrics of burgundy, plum and champagne. The antique candlesticks complimented the look perfectly, they were found on Stevenson Ridge’s property [a location rich in civil war history!].

A table setup this bold and dramatic is sure to transform any space!
