This morning’s real wedding post is for those barn wedding lovers out there [especially the ones that are ‘a little bit country’]. I join my fellow barn wedding lovers and always say that if I could get married again [though I would pick the same groom], I would have the reception in a barn. I know there are plenty of you that feel the same way, because the word rustic is pretty much all you see on blogs & wedding websites currently.

But since you know how I feel about doing the same thing everyone else does [ad nauseum], I am only 100% ok with the highly popular wedding themes, when people take the generic nature of it, and still manage to make it their own. This is exactly what Ashley & Matt accomplished with their DIY country barn wedding in Spring Mount Farms, PA. Thanks to Gypsy Tree Photography for sharing this beautiful real wedding with us via Two Bright Lights!

About the couple & their wedding from Gypsy Tree Photography:

Ashely and Matt had their wedding and reception at Spring Mount Farms in Warriors Mark, PA. It was a classic, gorgeous farm wedding. The ceremony was to be held outside by the pond but a not-so-nice forecast changed that plan. The ceremony was held inside the barn. The owners of Spring Mount Farms raise percheron horses. During the ceremony and reception the horses could be seen running through the nearby fields.

The theme of “country” rang true through every aspect of their wedding; from the mason jars that everyone drank out of to the wedding cake topper featuring pheasants. Nearly everyone, wedding party and guests included, wore boots to the occasion. It was a perfectly tasteful way to do the country theme.

Enjoy!

  1. Oh wow, this is awesome! I love the Christmas lights on the table. And I’m 100% there with you- love her dress, love even more that it isn’t strapless. And that photo with the bridesmaids and flower girl with the flower? Too awesome.

  2. I am having a lot of trouble finding bridemaid’s dresses. I really like those dresses. Can someone please let me know where I can find them?
