“Anyone can make $300 worth of flowers look beautiful, but I want to show that inexpensive flowers can still look great!” – Emily, Love Blooms

Remember last week’s bridal inspiration features?! The flowers featured in our Grecian, Vintage, and Victorian bride looks were made by the wonderful Emily of Love Blooms. This morning we will share a vendor spotlight on Emily & her business so you can get to know her better and see some of her favorite work!

A bit about Emily & her affordable floral design company, Love Blooms:

After I graduated college, I was looking for a job, but found there weren’t as many options as I had originally imagined when I decided to major in art! I came across a classified ad for floral retail in a local grocery store and thought I would give it a try. I fell in love with the job immediately!

A few years later, my friends were planning weddings and struggling to stay within their budgets. I began my business with the intention to give every bride an opportunity to have a beautiful wedding! I work out of my home, and without shop costs, so I can offer competitive pricing.

Q. What are your favorite wedding floral trends right now?

Emily: Ah! I don’t know if I can pick my favorite flower trend! One of them is succulents. They come in so many varieties, colors, and shapes! They are super versatile and can be used in bouquets, centerpieces, and even as place card holders! My other favorite trend would be bridesmaids carrying the same bouquets, but in varying hues of the same color, which gives an ombre look.

Q. Any advice to brides planning their weddings and picking their flowers?

Emily: My advice to brides is to create an inspiration board! Look at lots of pictures and get a feel for your personal style. You can discover flowers that you never knew existed. Your florist can help create the perfect bouquet for you, even from looking at the non-floral aspects of your board.

Q. Favorite song right?

Emily: My favorite song right now is Train, drive by :)

And now check out some of Emily’s beautiful floral design work ~ this will be sure to get you inspired on this lovely summer-like DC morning :)

Aren’t Emily’s floral designs just gorgeous!? Any DC, MD, or VA brides out there looking for an affordable floral design company for their wedding should certainly check out Love Blooms!
