Sara & John’s Chic Barns at Wolftrap Wedding in Northern Virginia

For me it’s Thursday Friday [meaning I took tomorrow off from work ~ so today is my working Friday!] and I couldn’t think of a better way to spend my Thursday Friday, then by blogging a chic barn wedding at the Barns at Wolf Trap in Northern, Virginia! Thanks so much to Ever After Visuals, Virginia Wedding Photography [submitted via Two Bright Lights] for this submission!

“You look so handsome” Sara said with that gorgeous smile as they were walking back down the aisle.

John said, “You look beautiful.”

True story – they both looked stunning in their elegant attire and chic black & white color palette.

Floral Designer:  Total Wedding Kama
Reception Venue:  The Barns At Wolf Trap

From the photographers:

The location was The Barns At Wolf Trap an awesome location for images with a rustic feel. The bridesmaids all wore black, offset by white and purple bouquets.

Even on the big day it was as if there were no other cares in the world. As the vows were spoken, and they walked back down the aisle as man and wife, joy radiated from both. It was a perfect day  not a dark cloud in the sky! So the images happen to be some of our favorites. John and Sara’s wedding had everything a wedding photographer could hope for: a great venue, good weather and of course, a gorgeous couple!

Capitol Inspiration: A Real, DIY Barn Wedding

This morning’s real wedding post is for those barn wedding lovers out there [especially the ones that are ‘a little bit country’]. I join my fellow barn wedding lovers and always say that if I could get married again [though I would pick the same groom], I would have the reception in a barn. I know there are plenty of you that feel the same way, because the word rustic is pretty much all you see on blogs & wedding websites currently.

But since you know how I feel about doing the same thing everyone else does [ad nauseum], I am only 100% ok with the highly popular wedding themes, when people take the generic nature of it, and still manage to make it their own. This is exactly what Ashley & Matt accomplished with their DIY country barn wedding in Spring Mount Farms, PA. Thanks to Gypsy Tree Photography for sharing this beautiful real wedding with us via Two Bright Lights!

About the couple & their wedding from Gypsy Tree Photography:

Ashely and Matt had their wedding and reception at Spring Mount Farms in Warriors Mark, PA. It was a classic, gorgeous farm wedding. The ceremony was to be held outside by the pond but a not-so-nice forecast changed that plan. The ceremony was held inside the barn. The owners of Spring Mount Farms raise percheron horses. During the ceremony and reception the horses could be seen running through the nearby fields.

The theme of “country” rang true through every aspect of their wedding; from the mason jars that everyone drank out of to the wedding cake topper featuring pheasants. Nearly everyone, wedding party and guests included, wore boots to the occasion. It was a perfectly tasteful way to do the country theme.

look at these bouquets! omg they are rustic to a “T” [to an R?] in love.

this DIY altar is insanely awesome ~ the sticks, woods, antlers, and burlap are gorgeous!
