Happy Monday Romancers! The spring-like weather here in DC is giving my mental health new jolts of optimism and happiness and every day I hear a new friend or family member has their vaccine appointment. Hopefully things are on the up for all of you too.

For today we have the gorgeous shoot I was supposed to blog on Friday! Eye candy alert. Let’s go Romancers!

The vision of this shoot was to create a romantic, glamorous and chic twist for an intimate wedding signifying that, “Love is not Cancelled.” Since we are in a pandemic, we commissioned custom masks for the couple, and set the scene to show that a wedding could be intimate, while also being chic and gorgeous to still give the couple exactly what they envisioned.

The combination of a fall scenery with beautiful details of bold and vibrant colors added a touch of sophistication to the shoot. We fell in love with a beautiful bold orange chair and built the theme of the shoot around it. We combined bold color palettes of orange, dusty blue, light blue, gray and accented it with gold. With the autumn weather, we thought we could emphasize the scene by setting up a chic table with an autumnal and glamorous touch. We played with autumn colors in the flowers, invitations, menu cards, and custom macaroons to emphasize the look.

To add to the shoot we incorporated a whiskey and cigar bar for the groom to unwind before the nuptials. The shoot also encompassed a champagne bar with custom macaroons for guests to enjoy before the wedding. The cake was already gorgeous by itself, but the cake designer decided to add some vibrant flowers to tie the original cake design in with the design of the room. This gorgeous cake could be used for a wedding all year around. The colors are fun and great for a bride who wants something out of the box.

The table was adorned with crystal candelabras, candles and lush floral pieces with beautiful orange, dusty blue, and ivory flowers with gold accent pieces. We chose beautiful gold charger plates, china plates, silverware, and blue goblets to match the color palette.
