I am hurting worse this Sunday night from being a wedding guest, than from having to work a Saturday wedding. Go figure. Apparently I can’t “hang” and drink like I am still 21 and in college ;) But it was a great weekend witnessing my two good friends get married, in a total Penn State themed wedding up at State College, PA. And this weekend we have PopUpRomance on Saturday! You better stop by and join in on the communal art project or witness the vow renewal event at 4pm! Hope to see some of you there :) And now for a little love this Monday morning. Jessica & Mark’s adorable backyard engagement session – I am IN LOVE with Jessica’s rad tattoos and Rosie the Riveter styling. Happy Monday Romancers.

How they met:

We met through my work. And went on our first date on my 28th birthday and instantly hit it off and have been pretty much inseparable since then.

The Proposal:

After dating for a little over a year Mark asked his son Brooklyn if he would be ok with him marrying me. Brooklyn said yes!!! So on August 15th we had my mom watch Brooklyn and we went to a Ravens game. We had a great time at the game and even discussed that today would not be the day we got engaged because everyone thought Mark would do it at the ravens game. So we watched the game and on the way home I insisted that we stop and have pancakes. So we stopped at the IHOP but they were closed so I said let’s go to Denny’s. For some reason mark seen anxious to get home. He kept asking if I thought Brooklyn would be awake. I told him my mom was watching him and he would be fine. So we went to Denny’s and had pancakes. We then went home. When we got home Brooklyn was still awake and he and mark went upstairs and I started talking to my mom. At this point it was about 1 in the morning. So mark came down with Brooklyn got down on his knee and asked if I would spend the rest if my life with him. I said absolutely!!!! And then Brooklyn gave me the ring. It was one of the happiest days of my life.
