This super-rad springtime weather has got me in a great mood, despite my new day job being insane, delving into some crazy personal life things, AND nearing the middle of my busy wedding season. I’m tired yes (as I sit here at 9:30pm writing this post, thinking about that 6:00am alarm to go for a run), but the love keeps me going. Heather & Jeremy are SUPER sweet and their springtime Maryland wedding isn’t chock full of details, but it IS chock full of beauty and love. PLUS the photographer, Elizabeth Fogarty Photography and I are working together this Saturday at C&J’s wedding – so it’s only appropriate that I’m featuring one of her weddings this week.

And man, these images make me SO freakin’ pumped that C&J booked her for their laid-back BBQ wedding in the ruins of Patapsco Female Institute. Let’s just all do a sunshine weather dance ok?

From the Photographer:

Talk about a SWEET couple. These two were all smiles on their wedding day. It was a perfect, full of sunshine, day. Everything came together so perfectly, from her flowers to the bridesmaid dresses. They are actually middle school sweethearts. Well, he did call her fat. But college changed it all and Jeremy fell hard for Heather. He is an engineer and she is a pre-school teacher. They have a little boy named max. This is truly a fairy tale.

From the bride:

“My favorite color is green and we knew that would definitely be our primary color! Originally we were going to go with green and yellow until my Sister in Law and I saw a bouquet online with a green and purple color scheme and I instantly fell in love!! We chose the green color based on the girls dresses which were Clover from David’s bridal and then knew deeper purple would work well with that!

We went to a wedding at Piney Branch in September of 2010 and had an amazing time! We didn’t even visit any other venues while wedding planning :-). We had lots of family and friend involvement! My girlfriend Laura Van Riper was actually our officiant! I started babysitting and house sitting for her when I was a teenager and now she is one of my closest friends!

My girlfriend Emily Hester did our flowers! We were her second wedding and she decided to start a business (Country Florals by Emily) after having such a great and successful time doing ours! My dear friend Abby Murray made our son’s ring barrier sign and our Thank You sign for our Thank you cards.

I think the most unique part of our wedding was that our son was our ring barrier! Jeremy and I were together for 4 and 1/2 years before we were married and never planned to have children before that, but fate led us in another direction! I cried before I even walked down the aisle seeing my little boy dresses in the SAME tux and details as his daddy!

We had a few handmade details at our wedding! Like i said before, Max’s ring barrier sign and our Thank you sign was made by my dear friend Abby. I actually made our unity candle set! My maid of honor and I went to Michael and bought plain candles and details to Jazz them up! My bridesmaid’s decorated the arch we used during the ceremony.”

During the reception after I danced with my father and Jeremy danced with his mother and Step mother, I had one of the most memorable experiences of my life- I had the privilege of having a mother-son dance with my son and MY wedding! I still tear up thinking about it! We danced with Dream Big by Ryan Shuppe and the Rubberband.
