Capitol Inspiration: Love & Loss, an Alternative, Mourning Bride Inspired Shoot

And now for something completely different.

I couldn’t resist accepting this really different bridal portrait shoot put together by Charlotte Tittle Photography & Anthomanic. While it might not be your favorite thing I blog, it’s interesting and different and therefore, absolutely perfect to me. For the 100s of brides out there that want a soft, vintage look – maybe there is 1 that feels more aligned to a more gothic-feel, and for her I think they should have some inspiration too.

The Virginia based wedding vendors decided to use the theme of loss for this bridal portrait session – focusing on a bride in mourning. This means a somewhat grim aura and styling, with heavy, dark eye makeup, wild hair, and animalistic head-dresses and cloaks.
