It’s June (where did May go?! Seriously?!) but that doesn’t mean I can still share beautiful engagement sessions that take us back to spring in DC. Which of course also means, Cherry Blossoms!!! Today’s DC engagement session feature is super dreamy and I just love Divinity & Meekael’s laid-back style. There is a ton of love between these too – and it’s evident in every single image from their engagement shoot! I also love that the couple plans to use the blossoms for part of their Asian Garden Party themed wedding too! Can’t wait to see those pictures ;)

About the couple:
Divinity and Meekael met about 8 years ago. The couple used to frequent Tidal Basin in the spring and fall months. They would walk around for hours, just talking and spending time getting to know one another. Their wedding and engagement are inspired by a theme of an Asian Garden Party. Divinity wanted to use a mint parasol during their engagement shoot, that couldn’t have been paired more perfectly with the Japanese Cherry Blossoms and their overall theme. They also handmade the heart signs. It was the first full day of blooms, so we started at sunrise to avoid the crowds and the day couldn’t have been more perfect.

The Proposal Story!
Divinity and Meekael had decided to take a road trip down to Florida. It had been a long time since they had seen her parents. While at Miami Beach, the two went on a walk on the beach to have a little time to themselves. Meekael had decided this was the right time to propose to Divinity. What better place to get proposed to then in a warm tropical place. The two love going to the beach, so it was a fitting place for the proposal!
