Mondays: the constant struggle to accept that the weekend is over and a long work week is ahead of me.

Once I finally get my butt in gear and start blogging – it’s amazing how much my productivity grows and I am suddenly much happier than when I got out of my car and began my walk into the office :)

For this morning’s engagement session, we have the lovely Lindsey & Beto, a stunning couple with a common faith that decided to use the Franciscan Monastery in NE DC [my hood! what what?] for their Washington, DC engagement session. The shoot was shot beautifully by Evelyn Alas Photography [the colors in this session are downright dreamy!] and submitted via Two Bright Lights.

Lindsey & Beto’s Franciscan Monastery Engagement Session in NE Washington DC

How they met:

Lindsey and Beto met three years ago, at a dinner party through a mutual friend. Despite many attempts by the friend to introduce Lindsey to Beto, they finally meet that evening at the worst time.

Lindsey was ill and not her bubbly self, but that didn’t dissuade Beto to take an interest in her. He even drove her home that night since she wasn’t feeling well and the rest is history!

About the couple:

Lindsey has always had a deep love for latin culture. Beto is Mexican and they both enjoy learning and traveling. Since Beto and Lindsey are Catholic, they couldn’t think of a more appropriate place for their engagement session, at the Franciscan Monastery in NE Washington. D.C. Lindsey and Beto look forward in getting married on August 18th.

The proposal [from the bride to be]:

He proposed over Thanksgiving weekend at a cabin where my family, Beto and I were staying.

He had pre made a video that he asked my sister to play. She hooked it up to the tv and the premise of the video was his adventure to find me and looked all over the city stopping at many DC locations, including my old house to find me.

He eventually finds me when the camera goes live in the cabin and I walk outside and there he is on one knee.

Congratulations Lindsey & Beto! Thank you for sharing your beautiful DC engagement session with us today. A special thanks again to Evelyn Alas Photography & Two Bright Lights for this submission!
