Capitol Wedding: Elizabeth & Paul’s Alternative Washington, DC Wedding at the Decatur House

A non-strapless wedding dress, mismatched bridesmaids AND mismatched groomsmen, crazy-fun wedding party “portraits” and more, make up Elizabeth & Paul’s amazing DC wedding at the Decatur House. I’m going to go full disclosure here and warn you that I am probably INSANELY biased about how amazing this wedding is for two reasons. 1. It was held at the same reception place as my own offbeat dc wedding and 2. Elizabeth & Paul’s wedding party pictures remind me SO much of my own as well!

Elizabeth & Paul’s Offbeat, Alternative Washington, DC Wedding

Regardless, weddings like this are usually seen in other parts of the country – so I was ecstatic to not only get to feature such a fun, offbeat wedding, but also that it happened right here, in the heart of Washington, DC! Also, the pictures were captured by one of Capitol Romance’s favorite DC/Baltimore Wedding Photographers too – Luke Eshleman Photography.

I know you guys are going to love this one – it has Capitol Romance written all over :)

And now .. some of the best wedding party pictures I have ever seen!

LOVE the mismatched bridesmaids in ivory, light pink & purple

i really love the banquet style tables they used

i also really love how they dressed up the tables with patterned table clothes – instead of doing over the top centerpieces (which are pretty unnecessary on banquet tables IMO)

Congratulations Elizabeth & Paul! Thank you so much for sharing your amazing, offbeat Washington, DC wedding with us! A special thanks again to Luke Eshleman Photography for letting us share his images!
