Giveaway Alert ~ 2 Tickets to the Borrowed Event!

Happy DIY Wednesday Capitol Romancers! Today we are announcing our giveaway contest for your chance to win a pair (2 tickets!) to the Borrowed Event!!!

Haven’t heard about the amazingness that is – Borrowed yet?! Well let me tell you …

On a mission to meet innovators face-to-face, borrowed was started as an effort to not only provide brides and grooms-to-be with better, unconventional resources for their wedding day but as an effort to connect creative minds on the East Coast.

Borrowed is determined to be a wedding show for people who think outside of the box. Yeah, we’re talking to you, the wallflower who stays at home on a Friday night with It’s Always Sunny and a bottle of wine, and you, the genius designer covered in tattoos, and yep, you the bride who is terrified by the idea of a traditional, stale wedding with a poofy dress to boot.

We just want to let you know – there are vendors out there just like you. Your wedding day should be a personal celebration and personal connection is what borrowed is all about.

Still not convinced? Well .. let me SHOW you:

As a photog about to jump into full time in less than two weeks, I’m craving conversation and inspiration to try and bring something a little different to my small town just 2 hours southwest of DC.

I want to come for the opportunity to finally meet you:-) That is all.

[...] to snag them up before they’re gone, OR, if you’re really lucky, pop on over to the Capitol Romance blog and enter to win a pair! There will be a few more ticket giveaways over the next few weeks leading [...]

I would love to attend Borrowed because I am ecstatic that there is finally an event in Baltimore for offbeat brides! I know most little girls dream of the day when they can walk down the church aisle in their big white ballgown while listening to “Here Comes the Bride.” I, however, am not that kind of girl! My fiance and I are getting married at Ripken Stadium on the field. Our theme is 1940′s vintage baseball, which is not easy to pull off without being overly kitsch. We want our wedding to be insanely fun, insanely memorable, and insanely unique. Our wedding date is close (June 9th) but Borrowed can help us find those finishing touches that will really make our wedding the offbeat wedding of our dreams!

Hello! I LOVE Capitol Romance and the amazing giveaways you guys sponsor on your website.

Borrowed sounds like an amazing event to get more ideas for my upcoming wedding in October. I’m definitely NOT looking to have a traditional wedding, although we have to incorporate some cultural traditions (chinese-vietnamese), I really want to have some fun ideas with some quirky signatures to signify my and my fiance’s personalities.

I am always scouring the web, wedding websites which of course include Capitol Romance, pinterest (OMG SO addictive) for creative ideas. I’m thinking of doing a travel themed wedding, but I definitely want to make it our own and incorporate fun and new ideas to it. I have A LOT of planning to do so I think this event would be great to get some new ideas, find some vendors and really get the ball rolling since the time is ticking!

Thanks so much! :)

I am really inspired by those who really do think out of the box and that is one of the main reasons I would love to attend the “Borrowed Event.” I honestly don’t really know of any other Vendors close to my area that think “uniquely” and I believe this would be a great way of possibly meeting some.

Thanks Capital Romance!
