This afternoon’s real Washington, DC engagement session comes to us from Mark of Pier23 Photography. I found Mark via Wedding Gawker, and I am so happy I did ~ I love his style and was so happy when he shared this 100% DC shoot he had with Anna & Jordan. This engagement session starts off like something out of Time magazine, but it quickly turns into a truly fun & lively engagement session around Capitol Hill. Enjoy!

Anna is originally from Manhatten Beach, Los Angeles while Jordan is from Atlanta, GA. Jordan and his family have always been involved in politics and traveled to and visited DC frequently. Anna moved out here for college (GW), which is where they both met. Now they both work on Capitol Hill; Jordan for the ACLJ (American Center for Law and Justice) while Anna is a new media strategist and consultant for political campaigns. Needless to say, they are both waaaaay smarter than I am :) Hopefully that helps a bit! Oh, and they are getting married at the Hay Adams near the White House.

Seriously, magazine shoot, right!?

Having some fun around the office …

And here is where the color, laughter, and LOVE really start to explode. Love these shots Mark!

This one is TOTALLY my favorite shot (is anyone surprised by this?)

Followed by a close second here …

I really love the black/white shot here and the angle … totally artsy, totally awesome

Love love love that color blue behind Anna & Jordan – it makes all the colors they are wearing just POP!

Congratulations Anna & Jordan, I am sure your Hay Adams wedding is going to be something spectacular ~ A special thanks to the very talented Mark of Pier23 Photography for sharing this engagement shoot with us!
